Supply List

The following supplies should be brought to class every day. Arriving to class unprepared will affect your participation grade.

• A well rested student, prepared to participate :)
• Your school issued Chromebook, charged and ready to go
• Headphones or earbuds (only to be used for instructional purposes with teacher's permission)
• Pens with blue or black ink
• Pencils
• 2 pocket folder (for Biology only)  or a separate section of a 3-ring binder to transport and store paper handouts

• Los siguientes útiles deben llevarse a clase todos los días. Llegar a clase sin estar preparado afectará la calificación de participación.
• Un estudiante bien descansado, preparado para participar :)
• La Chromebook que te proporcionó la escuela, cargada y lista para usar
• Auriculares o audífonos (solo para usar con fines educativos con el permiso del maestro)
• Bolígrafos con tinta azul o negra
• Lápices
• Carpeta de 2 bolsillos (solo para Biología) o una sección separada de una carpeta de 3 anillos para transportar y almacenar los folletos en papel

Conduct Expectations

We learn best when we all work together. Everyone's actions affect the class's learning as a whole. Therefore, participation will count for 10% of your marking period grade. 

Please refer to the Participation Rubric below to see how students will be assessed. Aim for the green column to achieve all possible points!

Safety

As we often work with unique hazards in science (such as chemicals, heat, and sharp/ breakable objects), special precautions must be observed to keep everyone safe. 

Students must read and sign the safety contract prior to use of the lab facilities and equipment. Students MUST adhere to all safety guidelines at all times when in the lab area.

Como a menudo trabajamos con peligros únicos (como productos químicos, calor y objetos punzantes / que se pueden romper), se deben tomar precauciones especiales para mantener a todos a salvo.
