Think Globally, Act Locally! In this Environmental Science course students will engage with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world. This course has students identify and analyze natural and human-made environmental problems, evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them. Environmental Science is interdisciplinary, embracing topics from geology, biology, environmental studies, environmental science, chemistry, and geography. Topics include ecosystem studies, biodiversity, population dynamic, earth systems and resources, water studies, energy resources, pollution, and human impacts on the Earth. Students will be afforded the opportunity to engage with local governments on environmental issues and participate in service projects to benefit our environment.
