Grading System: The final numeric grade is a combination of the student's mastery of the subject and, in most cases, the student's competitive performance within his/her own section.
Superior 100 - 90%
Good 89 - 80%
Average 79 - 70%
Minimum Achievement 69 - 65%
Unsatisfactory less than 65%
Honor Roll: Recognition is given each marking period (4 times a semester) to students who meet the following academic standards:
Highest Honors 90% average or higher, with no grade below 80%
Honors 85% average or higher, with no grade below 75%
Merit 80% average or higher, with no grade below 70%
Rank in Class: Weighted school averages are used to establish rank in class. Class rank is calculated at the end of the 9th, 10th and 11th grades and at the end of the second and third marking periods for grade 12. Courses are weighted as follows:
