WELCOME BACK!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in September and am confident it will be a great year. Below are some changes in our elementary/intermediate staff.

David Friedman
Mr. Friedman joins us this year at the Webutuck Elementary School. He has worked at the High School since 2008 as a special education teacher. Prior to coming to Webutuck, Mr. Friedman worked in the Cairo-Durham School District with kindergarten through second grade students. Mr. Friedman spends his summers in Japan teaching all ages of students. We look forward to having him join us at Webutuck Elementary School.

April Whalen
Mrs. Whalen, formally Miss Ary, joins us at the Webutuck Elementary School. This is Mrs. Whalen’s second year as our Universal Pre-K teacher. This summer Mrs. Whalen made the move from the Millerton Elementary School building and relocated the Universal Pre-K program to our school. She has been working hard to ensure the transition is smooth for all involved.
Mrs. Whalen recently received her Master’s degree from SUNY New Paltz. Mrs. Whalen is a lifelong learner and continues to increase her knowledge by attending professional development workshops.
We are thrilled she will be with us in the same building and look forward in continuing to work as a team enhance or Pre K program

Paige Wagner
Mrs. Wagner is new to our district this year. She recently received her Master’s degree from College of St. Rose. She taught last year in the Pine Plains School District as a kindergarten leave replacement and comes highly recommended.
Mrs. Wagner has a solid understanding of young children’s developmental needs. She has incorporated a variety of best instructional practices while teaching and continues to seek avenues to enhance her skills as an educator. Mrs. Wagner has a passion for art, writing, and music. We are very pleased to have her join our team.

Jessica Thomas
Mrs. Thomas will be returning to the district and working as a teacher aide at Webutuck Elementary School. Mrs. Thomas has a passion for our students and district and is happy to be a part of our team for another year.

Caitlin Brennan
Mrs. Brennan is returning as a teacher assistant. Mrs. Brennan will be working at Webutuck Elementary school with Kindergarten-third grade students. We are pleased to have her part of our team once again.
