FIELD TRIPS
The Board recognizes the value that a field trip represents. When students are able to see something first hand, an important element is added to the educational process. We recognize that every effort will be extended to make each approved field trip accessible and affordable for all of our students.
The following trips will require Board of Education approval:
1) all field trips which are not curriculum based;
2) all field trips which travel outside the country;
3) at the Superintendent’s discretion, all field trips which result in an extended loss of instructional time.
A field trip must be appropriately chaperoned, organized and thought out. Students are to be supervised at all times.
Violations of the code of conduct by their child while on a field trip will result in discipline and the student will be sent home at the parents’ expense in response to serious violations.
