STANDARDS FOR TEAM
PLACEMENT POLICY
A student’s
physiological maturity, physical fitness and sport skills rather than age and
grade alone will be determining factors for competitive team membership. The use of “selection/classification”
eligibility standards allows pupils of advanced or slower maturity rates to
compete at team levels best suited to their individual readiness and ability.
The
“selection/classification” eligibility standards are applicable in grades seven
and eight.
