THREE BOARD SEATS ARE UP FOR ELECTION

IN THE WEBUTUCK CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

 

Petitions are now available for persons interested in running for a three-year term of office on the Webutuck School District Board of Education.

 

There are three seats available this year as a result of the expiration of the terms of office of Andrew Jablonsky and William McGhee. The terms of office will commence July 1, 2010 and end June 30, 2013.  The third seat is the unexpired remainder of term for Susan Lounsbury and the term of office will commence May 19, 2010 and end June 30, 2011.

 

Petitions may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the District Office located in the Webutuck High School Building, and must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010 with a minimum of 25 signatures of qualified voters of the District. 

 

The Board member election will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, the same time as the District's vote on the 2010-2011 school year budget and any other propositions.

 

The Dutchess County School Boards Association will sponsor a PROSPECTIVE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS WORKSHOP at Dutchess County BOCES, 5 BOCES Road, Poughkeepsie, New York on Saturday, April 10, 2009 from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. for all interested candidates.
