Getting Started:  What Parents Need to Know Now About Adult Services

This workshop will present information on eligibility criteria for services from Taconic Developmental Disability Services (NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities) and Office of Mental Health.  Other topics will include Family Support Services, Recreation, Respite, Medicaid Service Coordination and Medicaid Waiver will be available. In addition, Crys McCuin, the Executive Director of Duchess ARC will discuss the potential impact of the proposed NYS Budget cuts to services and how to make our children’s’ needs known in Albany.
